This newly opened restaurant is situated just a short walk from
Bellagio through the gardens of Villa Melzi. On leaving the gardens you walk back in
time into the tiny, lake side fishing village of Loppia with its small harbour and
'Darsene' (boat houses) for storing the boats during the winter. Here you will also
find this delightful restaurant with a menu unlike those of the tourist restaurants of
Bellagio. Everything is fresh and made on the premises. The only thing they buy in
is the bread and the wine. Here you can sample some excellent Italian cuisine, wash it
down with a selection of local and fine wines, and finish it all of with a mouth-watering
dessert, while you relax in the small patio garden by the lake or in the cool and stylish
interior. The restaurant is also a bar and serves sandwiches and snacks from 10-12
and 3-7pm, as well as drinks from coffee to cocktails. Booking is advisable for
Saturday evenings.

Either walk from Bellagio through Villa Melzi's gardens or take a water taxi or even
walk along the main road from Bellagio, towards Como. After the hill, you will see a
signpost to Loppia down to your right. At the bottom of this road turn right and you will

A stylish restaurant, well worth the short walk or taxi ride from Bellagio, to taste
sample a menu that is just a little bit out of the ordinary. A lovely location for a
leisurely lunch after a visit to the gardens. An excellent or fine Italian wines. The meat
is excellent - succulent and tender!
